The USP-Pollock-Camp is a federal prison located at 1000 Airbase Rd in Pollock, LA. This federal minimum security prison is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) to hold inmates who have been convicted to and sentenced for a federal crime through the US Department of Justice (DOJ).

The United States Penitentiary, Pollock Satellite Prison Camp (USP Pollock Camp) is a minimum-security United States federal prison for male inmates in Louisiana. It is part of the Pollock Federal Correctional Complex (FCC Pollock) and operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a division of the United States Department of Justice.
FCC Pollock is located in central Louisiana, approximately 15 miles north of Alexandria.
Housing: Inmates at the camp are housed in dormitories.
Health Services: During the first week at Admission and Orientation at the institution, all inmates receive a screening examination. Health services include sick call, routine medical and dental call, emergency medical treatment, and medications. Most medical care is provided through appointments, where inmates are placed on the institutional call-out list. Inmates must present their ID card each time they report to Health Services. Emergency care is available 24 hours a day.
Psychology Services: Inmates meet with a psychologist for a routine intake screening within 14 days of arrival. Psychologists are available for individual psychotherapy on an as-needed basis. Crisis intervention is also available. USP Pollock Camp also offers the Challenge Program, a unit-based, residential treatment program stressing the acquisition and implementation of pro-social values and a non-criminal lifestyle. Group therapy and counseling, personal development groups, individual therapy and counseling, correctional counseling, crisis intervention, pre-release counseling, voluntary groups, and other programs deemed appropriate are available to inmates.
Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP): USP Pollock Camp does not house a Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP). However, the Drug Education Class and the Non-Residential Drug Abuse Program (NR-DAP) are offered.
Education Services: USP Pollock Camp provides literacy, GED, and English-as-a-Second Language (ESL) programs. Each student who successfully completes the General Educational Development Test or CASAS certification test will receive a $25.00 achievement award and will be recognized during the Education Department’s graduation ceremony. Parenting and Adult Continuing Education (ACE) programs are also available. Inmates interested in ACE may sign up for various courses that are offered on a rotating basis throughout the year. Schedules of planned courses are posted on the TRULINCS system for review. Examples of ACE courses are Conversational Spanish, Prison to Paycheck, National Geographic Classics, and United States and World History. High school diplomas and post-secondary programs are available through paid correspondence programs.
Advanced Occupational Education: USP Pollock Camp offers advanced occupational educational in Building Trades and Culinary Arts. Both facilities also offer Business Management, Custodial Maintenance, and Microcomputer Applications.
Library Services: The leisure and law libraries offer a variety of services. Fiction and nonfiction books, magazines, and newspapers are available for inmate use. An Interlibrary Loan Program is also available. The law library offers legal material as mandated by law. The Education Department provides the TRULINCS Electronic Law Library which contains many legal research resources, including federal cases law from every district court and circuit court.
Commissary: Inmates are permitted to spend a maximum of $360.00 a month, with a limit of $160.00 per week for regular purchases. Commissary access time is based on housing unit assignment. A point-of-sale computerized commissary withdrawal system is used at USP Pollock Camp that simplifies purchasing and gives inmates an improved, up-to-date record of all account activity. Inmates must register their fingerprint with Commissary prior to shopping. All sales are conducted using fingerprint recognition.
Recreation Services: Recreation at USP Pollock Camp offers both indoor and outdoor activities. Various sports leagues, wellness programs such as health and fitness classes, and cardiovascular conditioning are available to inmates. A music program is also available. Inmates can also participate in hobby crafts which include ceramics, leather craft, and art programs.
