South Louisiana ICE Processing Center (previously South Louisiana Correctional Facility) is a privately owned and operated prison facility by The GEO Group, Inc. located in Acadia Parish, LA. with a capacity of 1,000 inmates.
The facility previously housed inmates for Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections, housing both male and females at a mix of minimum, medium, and maximum security, with a capacity of 1,048. In April 2019, GEO announced the signing of a contract modification with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for the reactivation of the facility to house male and female ICE detainees awaiting immigration court hearings and deportation.

If you need to get in touch with a detainee you must call (337) 432-5493 and leave the detainee’s full name, alien registration number and a telephone number where you can be reached. He or she will be given your message.

South Louisiana ICE Processing Center – GEO – Visitation
- Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays: 2 p.m. – 8 p.m.
- Special visits for ICE detainees may be arranged Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m and 3 p.m. by submitting a request to the Warden.
- To ensure adequate time to process visitors through security, all visitors must be checked in by 2:30 p.m.
Visitors must present a valid verifiable government-issued identification card to enter the facility.
Visits shall not exceed 2 hours.
Minors who are visiting the facility must be accompanied by an adult guardian (18 years or older). Minors must not be left unaccompanied in the waiting room, visiting room or any other area.
Visiting Restrictions
- All family or other social visits are contact.
- No firearms or weapons of any kind are permitted in the facility.
- If visitors are or appear to be intoxicated, visitation will not be allowed.
- All visitors are subject to search while in the facility.
- Visitors are not allowed to pass or attempt to pass any items to detainees.
- Visitors are not allowed to carry any items into the visitation area.
