The Madison Parish Sheriff’s Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 100 North Cedar St Tallulah, LA which is operated locally by the Madison Parish County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Madison Parish County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Tallulah Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

• The Sheriff is responsible for the operation of the Madison Parish Jail, which houses approximately 36 pre-trial inmates.
• The Sheriff also manages and operates three correctional facilities which houses post conviction inmates – The Madison Parish Sheriff’s Department Correctional Division is located at 158 Treatment Plant Road, Tallulah, LA.
• Our deputies transport prisoners and mental patients to prisons and hospitals throughout the state.
