The Bell County Central Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 113 W Central Ave Belton, TX which is operated locally by the Bell County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Bell County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Belton Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

Wednesdays, Saturdays, & Sundays only: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Visitation Information & Rules
* Visits start at 9:00 AM until 7:00 PM.
* Two visits per person per week (Sunday-Saturday).
* Each visit is 20 minutes.
* Visitors arriving later in the evening must be in the lobby by 6:40 PM & have pulled a number from the red dispenser on the wall in order to visit.
* Visitors 17 and older are required to have a Governmental photo ID & be on the inmate's approved visitor list.
* Children 16 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult and have a student ID card.
* Unacceptable clothing: shorts, cut-off jeans, tube tops, tank tops, halter tops, mini skirts, or any other revealing clothing as deemed by the front desk.
* Visitors that violate visitation rules will be suspended from visiting in the future.
