The Henry County IN Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 127 N 12th St New Castle, IN which is operated locally by the Henry County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Henry County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the New Castle Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.
The Henry County Jail is a secure 130 bed facility. We have several programs for the inmates to prepare them to be better able to live outside of the Jail environment. Some of these programs are: G.E.D., various treatment programs, etc.
